September 8 - 15 and 19 - 26, 2017
Join us for a week of wandering the markets, ancient Roman sites and nearby vineyards from our home in the charming medieval town of Uzès. Our newly modernized stone house near the middle of town allows us to drop in on daily markets, lunch in the Place des Herbs and shop for locally produced artisan goods.
Our outings will take us to the Pont du Gard, Nîmes, Arles and Avignon. Along the way you will experience the meaning of “terroir” as we stop to visit local producers of wine, olive oil and buttery goat cheeses and sample their products.
Madelaine will offer two informal cooking classes in the kitchen at Uzès with fresh daily market purchases. We will also take a formal cooking class in the elegant 19th century kitchen at La Mirande in Avignon.
Plan now for next fall’s Provence Odyssey with Chez Madelaine in Uzès. Space is limited to 6 persons, double occupancy..
